‘Everything Everywhere’ domina los Independent Spirit Awards

Los Premios Independent Spirit de 2023 estuvieron dominados por “Everything Everywhere All at Once“ de Daniels, que lideró todas las películas de este año con ocho nominaciones y ganó un total de siete premios, incluido el de mejor película. Muy cerca estuvo“Tár” de Todd Field con siete nominaciones y ganó a mejor fotografía y “Aftersun” de Charlotte Wells con cinco nomnaciones, ganó a mejor ópera prima.

Si bien la ganadora del Spirit Award del año pasado a la mejor película, “The Lost Daughter” de Maggie Gyllenhaal, no obtuvo una nominación al Oscar en la misma categoría, la ganadora de 2021, “Nomadland” de Chloe Zhao, repitió en los Oscar y se llevó a casa el premio. Ahora nos queda esperar cómo le va a “Everything Everywhere All at Once“ en los premios de la Academia.

Los nominados a los Premios Spirit de este año fueron destacados por categorías de género neutral, lo que significa que Cate Blanchett y Michelle Yeoh se enfrentaron a Paul Mescal en la carrera por el desempeño principal. “Women Talking” recibió el premio Robert Altman de este año, que se otorga al director de una película, al director de reparto y al elenco.
