Critics Choice Awards: lista de nominados

Con 14 nominaciones, cinco de ellas para actores, Everything Everywhere All at Once de A24 acumuló el total más alto entre las películas en competencia por la 28ª edición anual de los Critics Choice Awards. The Fabelmans de Steven Spielberg fue el siguiente, también obtuvo cinco nominaciones para su elenco de 11 en general, tres nominaciones incluidas para Spielberg como productor, director y coguionista de su historia autobiográfica.

Paramount también se encontró nuevamente en el juego de los premios a lo grande, llegando con 9 nominaciones para Babylon, la oda de Damien Chazelle al Hollywood decadente de la era del cine mudo y de las primeras películas sonoras, que incluye Mejor Película, Director y Actriz para Margot Robbie. El estudio también acumuló seis nominaciones para el éxito de taquilla más importante del año, Top Gun: Maverick, incluyendo Mejor Película y Mejor Actor para Tom Cruise. Searchlight tiene a Empire of Light de Sam Mendes, una única nominación a Cinematografía y The Banshees of Inisherin de Martin McDonagh, arrasó con ocho nominaciones.

Además de las películas mencionadas anteriormente, las 11 nominadas a Mejor Película también incluyen Avatar: The Way of Water de James Cameron con seis nominaciones en total, incluida la de Mejor Director. Por su parte Elvis obtuvo siete nominaciones, incluyendo actor para Austin Butler y director para Baz Luhrmann; Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery de Rian Johnson con seis; la sensación de la India RRR con cinco, incluido el director de S. S. Rajamouli y película en lengua extranjera; Tár de Focus Features con siete, incluida la candidata a Mejor Actriz Cate Blanchett; y Women Talking, a la que le fue muy bien con seis, incluido el director y el guión adaptado de Sarah Polley.

También se anunció que el ícono de Hollywood, Jeff Bridges, recibirá el premio Critics Choice Lifetime Achievement Award en el show de este año.

Los ganadores serán revelados en la gala repleta de estrellas de los Critics Choice Awards organizada por Chelsea Handler, que The CW transmitirá en vivo a las 7 p.m. en el Este desde el Fairmont Century Plaza en Los Ángeles el domingo 15 de enero.
